Digital Technology advances have always helped industry to innovate and grow. It has a highly profound role in driving optimization and efficiency across all industry domains in the public and private sectors. However today it has created an urgent need for Cyber Security as critical facilitator, not only for plant operations but also for business economies. Without a Cyber Security Strategy in place the Digital Transformation in Process and Power Industry cannot go far.
THE CONFERENCE: ISA Delhi Section has now launched its Cyber Security Initiatives for the sake of Industry stakeholders in power and process automation domains through a series of planned activities, starting with a First of its kind Cyber Security Conference on 29th November 2022.
Today, the ISA/IEC 62443 series of standards define requirements and processes for implementing and maintaining electronically secure industrial automation and control systems (IACS). These standards set best practices for security and provide a way to assess the level of security performance. Their approach to the cyber-security challenge is a holistic one, bridging the gap between operations and information technology as well as between process safety and sets cyber-security benchmarks in all industry sectors that use IACS.
